BJP eulogises CM’s leadership, commitment
IMPHAL, 14th Oct: BJP Manipur Pradesh office bearers said that the achievement of chief minister N Biren, who was voted 3rd most popular CM of the country and top among the BJP ruled states in the India Today Political Stock Exchange poll, is the fruit of his good leadership skills and commitment in serving the people.
Addressing media persons at the party office at Canchipur Sunday, BJP general secretary (administration) K Sarat said that it is a matter of pride for the state and its people to have a CM with such popularity in a short span of one and half years of administration.
CM Biren got the votes for his people centric works and initiatives aimed at improving the lives, economy and health of the people of the state. Biren has been able to carry out several tasks in such a short time, which the previous government could not perform for years. Reducing the frequencies of bandh and blockade as well as bridging the gap between hills and valley are among the key achievements of the Biren government, he said.
In the past, common people could hardly get the opportunity to meet the CM. However, Biren initiated people’s day every month to personally meet and hear grievances of the commoners and to resolve their problems. The CMHT scheme launched by Biren has become a model healthcare scheme for other states. Introducing helicopter transport service, convening cabinet meeting at headquarters of the hills districts, taking up developmental works while welcoming suggestions from the public and helping people in need even if he came to the hardships of such persons from social media are some of the plausible works of the chief minister, Sarat contended.
The poll conducted by India Today has strengthened the belief of BJP that it can continue to serve the state and its people longer, he said while urging all to continue their support to CM Biren.
