MOMA organic products in high demand at Delhi fair
IMPHAL, 25th Oct: The organic products produced by Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) are in high demand at the 3-day long BIOFACH India 2018 exhibition, which is being organised by Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), Government of India. The fair began Thursday at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
The BIOFACH India 2018, which is being participated by MOMA under the Department of Horticulture and Soil Conservation and Department of Agriculture as representative of Manipur is India’s biggest exhibition for organic products. The exhibition is being attended by various agencies, entrepreneurs, business houses, companies and farmers from different states that produce organic products. A 30-member team consisting of organic products producing farmers, Farmer Producer Companies, entrepreneurs and department officials of the state are representing Manipur in the exhibition.
At the exhibition, Chak-hao, ginger, turmeric, pineapple, U-Morok, oranges and lemons of Tamenglong and other fresh and processed products of the state are being exhibited. On the inaugural day itself, many visitors were attracted to the state’s products with various companies showing interest in buying them in bulk.
