Chandrakirti Heritage Complex at Behiang

IMPHAL, 4th Nov: Art & Culture Minister L Jayantakumar Singh has announced that a Chandrakirti Heritage Complex will be developed at Behiang, Churachandpur district. He made the announcement Saturday to media persons on the sidelines of his visit to Behiang, which is believed to have been frequently visited by Maharaja Chandrakirti. Jayantakumar said that wall fencing would be taken up as the first step to develop the site so that the area is properly demarcated and ready for further development. For this purpose, available fund from the Art & Culture Department will be earmarked as soon as possible. The site has already been acquired by the Art & Culture Department. It is also the desire of the Chief Minister of Manipur, he added.
